How does coaching work?
One-to-one coaching is best described as a series of confidential, guided conversations, designed to help you unlock new thinking. It’s a chance for you to spend quality time thinking about yourself, your career and how you want to lead. One-to-one coaching sessions are results-driven and provide the space for you to find answers to your leadership and career challenges.
We work together to deeply understand your situation and identify solutions to the issues that matter most to you. Often the ideas that hold us back lie just below the surface of our conscious awareness, and it takes exploration with a skilled and trusted partner to uncover the unhelpful thinking that’s holding you back.
You’ll leave each session with a deeper sense of what’s really true for you and ideas for reflection, helping you to expand your perspective and clearly identify the steps you need to take to move forward with your professional goals.
If you opt to have one-to-one coaching sessions, they will be yours to control.
You can choose to follow my three-step ‘Emerge and Lead’ plan or bring the topics that are important for you at the time.
If you aren’t sure exactly where you need help – perhaps you’re just struggling with a pervasive sense of being stuck or lost – we’ll work through some self-exploration exercises to find direction and discover where you want to focus your attention.
We normally start with the Energy Leadership Index - a professional attitudinal assessment that surfaces your underlying perception and perspective on the world. It's a great way to quickly uncover the ideas, beliefs and assumptions that may be helpful to explore to improve your performance.
We’ll meet every 3-4 weeks over a 6-month period. Throughout the programme, I’ll use a range of coaching models, tools, and techniques. Every person, session, or even part of a session will have different needs, so I continually refine my approach to show up for what you need in the moment.
I will always follow your lead and we’ll move at the pace that’s right for you.

We will start by working together to discover your values and your strengths. Through deep exploration of your goals and the challenges that are keeping you from them, we’ll uncover the beliefs that are holding you back and limiting your potential.
Becoming curious about other ideas and perspectives will help to expand your thinking and reveal the options you need to step into your confidence and make radial progress towards your goals.
STAGE 3
Your Future
In the final stages of our coaching journey, we will build clarity about your goals for the future. I’ll guide you to experiment with new practices, exploring how to make changes to your daily routine to maintain momentum towards the future you chose.
I’ll help you build a robust framework to continue to capture new learning and directly apply it to what matters most, ensuring your gains continue to compound and serve you for the future.
STAGE 2
Inspiring Others
Together we will explore what’s working well in your interactions with others and what needs to change. By defining what authentic leadership means to you, we will explore how you can amplify your leadership impact in a way that serves you, your team and the wider organisation.
We’ll unravel the secrets of executive presence and increasing influence, without having to become the loudest in the room.
